The Moorland Classroom project supports school visits to moorland and related educational activities. David Rolls, our Moorland Education and Outreach Officer, works closely with various organisations and particularly the Greater Exmoor Environmental Education Forum to provide unforgettable learning experiences both in the classroom and on Exmoor National Park.
In addition to the Heritage Lottery Fund, this particular project has funding from the Exmoor Trust, who gave £10,000 and also from the Exmoor National Park Sustainable Development Fund.

As part of our work we have developed FREE online teaching resources for the Moorland Classroom. They are cross-curricular and appropriate for students from upper Key Stage 1 to lower Key Stage 3. We also offer FREE teacher training to help schools get the best out of the new materials, and the excellent opportunities on Exmoor for outdoor learning.
If you would like to know more about any aspect of this project, please contact David Rolls.
