Volunteers for the Moor

Heart of Exmoor is promoting different ways to volunteer, and we have invested in skills training to help people like you to get involved and stay involved with Exmoor’s moorland.

Summary
This Project will encourage more people to volunteer to help conserve Exmoor’s moorlands and to become involved in encouraging public enjoyment and understanding.  The Partners, supported by the Moorland Education Officer and the Moorland Heritage Officer, will identify opportunities for the use of volunteers and for inclusion in the Exmoor Volunteer Partnership’s programme of activities and tasks.  The Moorland Education Officer will promote volunteering during contact with community and youth groups (Reaching Out Project).  A budget of £7,225 will be available for training, equipment and promotion.

In addition to the Heritage Lottery Fund, this particular project has money from the ENPA CareMoor Fund.
