NEWS FROM EXMOOR NATIONAL PARK
There’s free fun and games for all at a Big Adventure event being held on Friday 13 April at Haddon Hill, Nr Wimbleball Lake from 10am to 4pm and everyone is welcome.
There will be a total of 5 Big Adventure Days during the school holidays this year hosted by Exmoor National Park Authority with help and support from the Heart of Exmoor, The Crown Estate, South West Lakes Trust, Countryside Mobility and the National Trust. There will also be community groups and volunteers doing activities.
At the Haddon Hill Big Adventure on 13 April there will be opportunities to take a Moorland Safari, see Exmoor Ponies, learn bushcraft skills and join in the famous ‘Exmoor Beast Hunt’. Car parking and toilet facilities are available on site at Haddon Hill car park east of Dulverton on the B3190. All the Big Adventure events are free and no pre-booking is required; adults must accompany children on the activities and everyone should wear outdoor clothing and footwear. The Countryside Mobility Scheme will have Tramper all-terrain mobility buggies available for people with limited mobility to use at these events. A limited number of Trampers will be available so booking in advance is essential. Anyone wishing to hire a Tramper will need to have some basic training that will be provided at the event.
