Exmoor National Park Authority
Exmoor was designated as a National Park in 1954. Since then the co-ordination of work to achieve National Park purposes in the area has been undertaken by local government – first by the county councils and, since 1997, by a free-standing authority.
Formed in 1958, the Exmoor Society works to protect and enhance the special qualities of the varied, wild and romantic landscapes of Exmoor. They have a range of events, seminars, competitions and grant schemes linked to Exmoor’s cultural heritage.
Founded in 1999, the Exmoor Trust is an independent charity, supporting a broad range of matters relating to Greater Exmoor, its inhabitants, ecology and environment.

The Field Studies Council is an environmental education charity committed to helping people understand and be inspired by the natural world. Thousands of students every year experience FSC fieldwork and cross-curricular courses at 17 centres across the UK.
