Active Exmoor
Active Exmoor is a sports tourism project focussed on supporting Exmoor's outdoor activity industry.

English Heritage
English Heritage champions historic places. It advises the government and others to help everyone get the best out of our heritage, and to ensure that it is protected for future generations.

Environment Agency
The principal aims of the Environment Agency are to protect and improve the environment, and to promote sustainable development. The EA plays a central role in delivering the environmental priorities of government.

Exmoor National Park Authority
Exmoor was designated as a National Park in 1954. Since then the co-ordination of work to achieve National Park purposes in the area has been undertaken by local government – first by the county councils and, since 1997, by a free-standing authority.

Exmoor Society
Formed in 1958, the Exmoor Society works to protect and enhance the special qualities of the varied, wild and romantic landscapes of Exmoor. They have a range of events, seminars, competitions and grant schemes linked to Exmoor’s cultural heritage.

Exmoor Trust
Founded in 1999, the Exmoor Trust is an independent charity, supporting a broad range of matters relating to Greater Exmoor, its inhabitants, ecology and environment.

Field Studies Council
The Field Studies Council is an environmental education charity committed to helping people understand and be inspired by the natural world. Thousands of students every year experience FSC fieldwork and cross-curricular courses at 17 centres across the UK.

National Trust
The National Trust works to preserve and protect the buildings, countryside and coastline of England, Wales and Northern Ireland, in a range of ways, through practical conservation, learning and discovery, and encouraging everyone to visit and enjoy their national heritage.

Natural England
Natural England’s remit is to ensure sustainable stewardship of the land and sea so that people and nature can thrive. It is the government advisor on England’s natural environment, and works to ensure it can adapt and survive intact for future generations to enjoy.


The NFU champions British farming and provides professional representation and services to its Farmer and Grower members.

The RSPB speaks out for birds and wildlife, tackling the problems that threaten our environment. It is the largest wildlife conservation organisation in Europe, with over one million members.

West Somerset Community College
The West Somerset Community College delivers secondary and post-16 education, in addition to professional and part-time studies. The only secondary school serving the district of West Somerset - designated a specialist technology college, with its own modern farm unit.
